To mark 150 years of worship in our present building, several events are to be held over the coming months. Sat. 23 March: Open Day, with Coffee/Teas all day and archive display. Sat. 23 March (evening): Social with our own talent. Sun. 24 March: anniversary service, preacher: the Moderator of Northern Synod. 26th to 29th September: Flower Festival
Anniversary Open Day As part of our anniversary celebrations, the church will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for visitors and members to see round the building, inspect artefacts and archives and enjoy a cup of tea or coffee in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Anniversary of the first worship in the current church - what was then St. George's Presbyterian Church - will be marked by a service on 24th March, lead by the Moderator of Northern Synod of the URC, Revd Dave Herbert.
As a Fundraiser towards her planned URC Educational Visit to Israel, Fliss Tunnard - in training to become a Church-Related Community Worker (CRCW) - is arranging an Afternoon Tea in the church on Saturday April 6, from 2:30 p.m. Entry will be £3.00 per person. For background on the trip click here.
